I got a phone call just now. It was from a place called "winners international" and they said they had a package for me. This package is supposed to contain 7.5 million dollars and all I have to do is send them $150 shipping and handling. Do people actually fall for this?

Only if they don't think!!!! How you doing?
Oddly enough, I've just received an email from Prince Olumuyiwah Obasanjo, a Nigerian gentleman... Do you think that perhaps his need for a bank account in which to lodge several million dollars of embezzled oil revenue might not be entirely legitimate!!?
Matt
Some people will try anything. Good to see you on line.
Wow, that's even better than the time this guy called to tell me I'd won a new Cadillac and all I had to do was send $1500 to cover the taxes!
I'm trying to relocate and was looking for rent to own properties in the area I want to relocate to. This one company will send you listings--if you just sign up for their $29 a month credit reporting service. I would have laughed if I weren't so stressed out.
I'm afraid some do or the con-folks would have stopped calling by now.
We got an e-mail saying they wanted to place a few million in our account BUT we had to fly to Atlanta Georgia first to meet the guy LOL ya sure i will get right on that. Also get lets from bank presidents in Africa and Afghanistan to wanting to place money in our account all they need is our banking information :|
Sadly, I think some people do..I'm not sure how it makes sense to them..but I suppose greed takes over..
working for a bank I know all too well that many people fall for things like this. they are so desparate to get the big money they ignore the warning signs that its a scam. very sad sometimes. Even worse when its an elderly person or someone who is not 100% there
And why is it that my HSBC bank account keeps getting compromised, such that the bank's online security has to send me emails? When I remember opening an account with HSBC, I'll follow that up.
Matt
Scary how easily our personal information can be obtained.
